There are many bands under the name Ghoul. The first is a crossover style death metal band from the USA which features members of Impaled and Dystopia. The band blends influences from death metal a la Carcass with touches of hardcore punk and thrash in the vein of Circle Jerks, Suicidal Tendencies and so on. There also exists a thrash/hardcore punk band from Japan who first used the name Ghoul. "CARRY OUT FUCKING 7" (Noise Room) JERUSALEM 7" (Hold Up, 1985) OI! OI! flexi (Hold Up, 1985)" from KFTH Another Japanese group called Ghoul exists which is raw black metal and is known to be a one man band.
